We arrived at the Stadtwirtschaft in September 2024, 9 months after our move. We are currently still building our premises and basic infrastructure and are therefore unable to offer an open workshop. Visit our homepage regularly to find out the latest news from us. You still want to visit us? You're welcome! There is a public tour on the first Wednesday of every month. Otherwise, you can also contact us by e-mail or request an appointment.

On January 18, 2025, the time has come: our city will cut through the virtual barbed wire and publicly and officially unleash what it has long had within it as European Capital of Culture 2025: a good portion of social skills, openness, connectivity, creativity, spirit, democratic capacity and so much more.

Relocation and damage

Dear members and guests of Stadtfabrikanten e.V. and FabLab Chemnitz,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ;-)

Let's start with the good news: we handed over our old club premises on time on 31.12.2023 and completed the move to temporary storage. Our new premises in the Stadtwirtschaft will soon be ready for occupation and then we will start to breathe new life into the club and the location. We already have big plans for this and are looking forward to presenting them to you soon.
