Kitchen, bar and lounge area
Our kitchen with attached bar is not large but cozy. We have everything we need to prepare food, e.g. refrigerator, microwave, induction hotplates, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher and other kitchen facilities. Around the corner there is a small seating area that is not completely finished yet. Because we have gray infrastructure pipe stubbornness everywhere, we have put fake plants and real plants. ☘️
Workshop area & more sociality
Our focus is on the work of the social exchange. For this we have created an island where there are enough seats with sockets. There is also a couch for guests or people who want to rest for a short time. Up to about 10 people can, for example, hold a two-row workshop with beamer and screen. For larger meetings like general assemblies, we get 30 people in the emergency, but then it becomes cuddly. For all major events we can rent the above-lying areas of the Stadtwirtschaft.
Textile workshop
The topic of textile has been present since we moved to the Stadtwirtschaft and is actively revived. Here you will find a large cutting table, industrial sewing machines, steam ironing station, ironing board, tufting machines and frames, weaving and embroidery frames, fabrics, yarns, buttons, eyelets, cutting patterns and various things that are needed for the crafting.
Electronics, Laser cutting, 3D printing
Among other things, it started with 3D printing at the founding time of our association. The subject is ubiquitous and not to think away. Last year, a repair laser, which also serves, inter alia, for development, repair and supplementary purposes. Our electronics work on an electronics sector with solid illumination, ESD protection and suction to also achieve complex SMD work. Various assortment boxes with small parts and, of course, all kinds of classic hand tools and measuring instruments, e.g. through-checkers, oscilloscope, soldering station, soldering smoke extraction, multimeter, magnifying lamp, etc.
Office & Server room & Technical storage
This cubbyhole with a window is a small office and central heating of the rental unit :-P The server rack is wired with all workshops and there are various online services for local operation. In addition, office utensils, cables, plugs, adapters and work equipment for marking the workshop areas and equipment are stored here: label equipment, laser printer, etc.
Graphics workshop & Workshop material storage
In the middle of the workshop there is a small room - unfortunately without window - which serves for the things that have to do with colors, graphics, printing and transfer. We also store workshop materials here. Find in this cube: A0 printer (inkjet), sublimation printer, cutting plotter, pen plotter, cycloid-marking machine, 3D-printing pins, transfer, cup, & button press, laminating devices, lever cutting machines, hot glue guns, adhesive, papers, foils, colors.
Waterjet cutter & rough storage
Through various cross-financing, we were able to acquire a solid compact water jet cutter before the past. This has got a separate space - unfortunately also without windows - which is at the same time storage space for the rough things that we rather rarely need, e.g. laying cables, beer table fittings or our Christmas tree. This workshop has not yet been completed and is currently undergoing great change.
Metal Processing & Welding, Ceramic & Pottery
These areas are still in intensive production phase. Not all devices are in place. We build rollable frames to keep the workshop configurable. Main items here at present: metal band saw, welding table and welding equipment, fixing aids and screw sticks, cutting grinders and various things for tearing, drilling, deburring, derusting. Otherwise, there are many more things to discover: Precious Plastic shredder, model making CNC milling machine (Retrofit), rotary bench, annealing furnace, etc.
Wood workshop
The wood workshop is one of our largest rooms and also the most frequented. Here you can find classic equipment that is used for old and modern craftsmanship: table saw, band saw, chop saw, fret saw, jig saw, plunge saw and other things for sawing, (table) drilling machines and rechargeable screwdrivers, planer, work benches, DIY plate milling (CNC), turning machine, various grinding machines and means, compressor with blow-out gun and nailer.
Floors & Toilets
We've been running a wolf 🐺. Our workshops are all connected via a central corridor. At both ends of the workshop there are toilets. We have access to a disabled toilet (besides the Kiezkantine). Our changing table is also located in the women's toilet.
Outer space
The Stadtwirtschaft is a very large area with various tenants. We are attached to the so-called "event yard" and look towards Jakobstraße and Schüffnerstraße. In front of our door there is a spacious courtyard with green strips, basketball basket, electrical charging column, bicycle parking, climbing wall and some more.
