IMPORTANT INFO
We have been moving with all our stuff since December 2023. Our new location is the Stadtwirtschaft. Unfortunately, we are therefore unable to offer an open workshop for the time being. Visit our homepage regularly to find out the latest news from us.

Watch out! Important note on our own behalf!

By Alina Wilken, 17 November, 2024

We Stadtfabrikanten, our association work and our ongoing renovations have recently been mentioned in various newspaper articles. These articles mention that we have already opened our new premises, that we are open around the clock, or that we will be opening this year. We would like to counter this briefly:

Unfortunately, that's not the case yet!

Fragezeichen

We are currently working hard to reopen our doors to general visitors and old and new members as quickly as possible. During the move to the Stadtwirtschaft, we had to overcome many unexpected hurdles, deal with bureaucratic stumbling blocks and organize everything for the renovation work on the side. As a result, we were only able to officially move into the new premises in September 2024. Now we still have a lot of pent-up work ahead of us to make the rooms as comfortable and practical as we want them to be and the social life that is at the heart of our association is picking up speed again.

Unfortunately, the workshop cannot be used for projects at the moment! The only project is the construction of the workshop itself. We can therefore only schedule a planned opening for Q1 or Q2 2025 at the latest. From then on, there will be at least one weekly open workshop again, as well as themed courses and events. And all association members will then also be able to use the workshop for their own purposes outside of the open workshop. More information will follow in the coming weeks and months. :-)

Of course, we are very happy about the interest shown and the attention that such articles draw to us. We are grateful for all those who write about us, post about us, share our excitement and eagerly await the reopening. Nevertheless, we don't want to disappoint anyone with false expectations and therefore prefer to stick to the truth.

We ask you to inform us as soon as possible if another article, report or other media about our association's work containing this false information appears.

In conclusion, we can only say: it's worth the wait! It is already clear that the new workshop will offer us more creative freedom. That's why we ask you to be a little patient with us.

Still want to take a look? You can!

If you are interested in visiting the premises and would like to say hello, you can still write to us (kontakt@stadtfabrikanten.org) and take a look - because at least we have a fixed location with a floor, walls and doors again - or you can take the opportunity to go on a general and informative tour of the Stadtwirtschaft place with Paul and Octavio from the “Stawi team”. This is worthwhile and is generally possible on the first Wednesday of every month. More information can be found at https://www.stadtwirtschaft.org/veranstaltungen
