Tomorrow there's the first show after the initial opening of the exhibition since mid of july. After the opening i was ill. Today, several weeks later, i did an inspection visit for Trikarus to do some well preparations for upcoming meetups. I did a less or more intense checks of some core components like the lines, the laser pointers and electronics. In total Trikarus is still really healthy. Nothing to bother here.
I had to adjust some screws to compensate the longer chillout period of the printer. Seems that in the meantime some geometrical tolerances sagged down / normalized. Two laser pointers were still in place, one needed to be readjusted (offset ~ 5mm) by using the ladder and a hex key. The line tension got lost a bit while all motors were kept active in their position since july (the printer never was shutdown). Largest motor error was 0.15 degrees. The guiding was perfect and the wear of the lines is still okay. I retensioned the lines at the A and C anchor again. I also adjusted the effector because D1 anchor was lower than it should be. I had to turn the guitar tuner screw ~10 rotations to make the effector level again. The masking tape on the printing platform gut some small bubbles but basically the adhesion for filament is good enough.
Electronics were fine: extruder, cooler fans, IR probe, led stripes, webcam, Raspberry Pi work. The tablet for local use got some strange display error (horizontal dead lines) but i still can be used well.
Regarding the software i made some fixes in scripts (sms_random.sh and added cron to clean old InfluxDB backup data). I also recognised that the Gyro do not deliver values anymore but i had no time to find the reason (collectd and influxdb are working correctly).
I am happy to make some colorful printing art tomorrow
