In order to experience and promote joint action around materials and materiality, a festival is currently taking place in Toulouse im La Cité with workshops, meetings and conferences on the topics of wood, metal, plastic and textiles and their processing. It's the Faire Festival!
Textiles is just the thing for our members Ina and Babette, who are using the exchange and the opportunity for our FabLab to make connections with French textile workers and get an idea of their work in workshops. In addition to intensive discussions and networking, the two will be able to take part in workshops such as textile recycling and yarn art and will return to Chemnitz with a richly filled bag of experience and knowledge. They are already looking forward to realising their new ideas and incorporating the fresh French impressions into the development of the new textile workshop.
