Save the date: On November 19, 2025, we will celebrate the official reopening of FabLab Chemnitz!
Note regarding the offer/restriction: We have been offering the weekly open workshop from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. again for a while now. However, we are still working on a few key areas until the opening in order to restore the original workshop offering from Philippstraße and are struggling with various infrastructure problems in the Stadtwirtschaft.

Then visit our MakerDay. This afternoon you can find out at various stations and try out interesting do-it-together offers.

The event is supported by the association Förderer der Stadtbibliothek Chemnitz.

  • Building and controlling brush robots through a labyrinth (for children from 8 years old) (MINTsportREGION)
  • Information stand on extracurricular leisure activities (MINT area)
  • Technique for testing and rebuilding -Retro Game Case, Open Source LED Racetrack, 3D printer (Stadtfabrikanten/ FabLab Chemnitz)
  • Programming robots -B-Bot and Blue-Bot playfully try out (SBC Chemnitz)
  • design small games on a tablet (Nachrichtenwerkstatt/ ARBEIT UND LEBEN Sachsen e.V.)
  • Gaming - Test selected console games (SBC Chemnitz)
